Boiler Servicing FAQs

Boilers should be serviced once a year to maintain efficiency, safety and manufacturer warranty compliance.

Most boiler services take between 45–60 minutes depending on the boiler type.

Yes. Landlords must obtain a Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) every 12 months.

We service all makes and models of domestic boiler.

We will always aim to complete the service where possible, while clearly identifying any faults and providing a written quotation for repairs.

If a fault prevents the service from being fully completed, the visit will instead be charged as a fault-finding callout.

Once the repair has been carried out, we will return to complete the service at no additional servicing cost, as this will be included within the quoted repair price.

We often hear, “My boiler isn’t working properly – it must need a service.” In most cases, the boiler will require a repair, as a service alone will not usually fix an existing fault.

Regular servicing helps to prevent issues from developing, but it will not repair components that have already failed.

If your boiler is beyond economical repair or parts are no longer available, we will advise you accordingly.

In this case, we can provide a written quotation for a suitable replacement boiler, along with recommendations based on your home and heating requirements.

Any costs already paid for fault finding can often be taken into account when proceeding with a replacement.

We’ll always explain your options clearly, so you can make an informed decision on whether to repair or replace your boiler.
