During your annual boiler service, our Gas Safe and OFTEC registered engineers carry out a thorough inspection of all key components. Here’s what gets checked and why it matters:

Flue and flue elbow – inspected for blockages, leaks and correct sealing to safely remove harmful gases from your home.
Fan – checked to ensure it’s operating correctly and safely expelling combustion gases.
Heat exchanger – examined for signs of wear, corrosion or damage that could affect efficiency or safety.
Burner – cleaned and inspected to ensure it’s operating efficiently and producing a stable flame.
Flame and combustion – checked visually and with specialist equipment to ensure safe and efficient burning.
Fuel supply and controls – tested to confirm the boiler is operating safely and responding correctly.
Boiler casing and seals – checked and secured to maintain safe operation.
Condensate trap and pipework – cleared and inspected to prevent blockages, especially in colder months.
Pressure and water flow – checked and adjusted to ensure your heating system runs efficiently.
Carbon monoxide and combustion analysis – carried out to confirm the appliance is burning safely.

For oil boilers, we also check key components such as the fuel nozzle and oil supply where applicable.

At the end of your service, we’ll provide a clear summary of your boiler’s condition and highlight any issues before they become costly problems.
